How to navigate Dynamics
Menu
Menu links appear on the left-hand-side navigation panel. The menu is split into chunks. At the top is the Home area, which is followed by Dashboards (if you are using them).
The main application links will follow this structure and at the bottom there is the facility toggle to the Workplace area.
Home
- 'Home' button will always return the screen to the main landing page.
- Click on the 3 lines to hide/display the left-hand navigation panel. This is helpful if you want to see more information in the main data panel to the right-hand-side.
- 'Recent' will show the last 10 screens that you have visited. i.e. This can be individual records and/or menus.
- 'Pinned' will show any piece of information (record and/or menu link) that has been pinned for quick reference.
Dashboard

Your defaulted dashboard will show here.
Application Links
- Application links will show in this section, underneath the name of the given application (in this example, US Loans)
- There may be several sections of application links, depending upon the application and the volume of menus/links involved.
Workplace
- The bottom section of the left-hand-side navigation is where the Workplace is usually found.
- Click on the application name to toggle to the Workplace area.
- Click on Workplace to display the Workplace items
- In this example Reports and Email Messages are available.
- Click on the Workplace item that is required.
PINNING
Pinning the most commonly used menu/data items is really helpful and will save navigation using the back arrows and filters.
Recent
- To pin an item, identify an item from the Recent listing.
- Hover to the left-hand-side of the name and note a pin icon will appear.
- Click on the Pin icon to add to Pinned.
Pinned - View
- Toggle the Pinned items drop-down arrow to view the list of all pinned items.
Pinned - Remove
- Hover over a Pinned item and click on the pin to remove it from the Pinned items list.
