Dynamics: Email Spell Checker is no longer available

The Dynamics Spell Checker is no longer used in any of the New Look Dynamics email editors and so the browser spell checker should be used instead.

See more information at the end of the What's new page.

Dynamics: No longer compatible with Internet Explorer

Internet Explorer should no longer be used with Dynamics.

We are aware that some users may still be using Dynamics via the Internet Explorer (IE) browser, and that this can lead to reduced performance and several issues, notably for Case Management users using the Advanced email editor. Whilst IE was recommended for the legacy ‘on-premise’ Dynamics, we recommend that Dynamics 365 and New Look Dynamics are accessed using the latest versions of Chrome, Edge and Firefox for optimum performance and reliability.

The 'from' line is missing when creating emails and so cannot be changed

  • This only applies to the email form "Enhanced Email"
  • Workaround is to select one of the other three email forms from the drop down list in the editor
  • The system will then default to the last form used

Script error when clearing email content in the Basic Email editor

  • If a user chooses to add a new email activity, a script error is thrown to the user when deleting all content from the Basic Editor pane.

Related Activities view only displays emails where "Regarding" is set to the entity

  • If an email is sent to an entity by a workflow, but the regarding field is not set to the entity (eg in running a workflow on a childcare application), the email no longer displays in the "Related" activities for the recipient.
  • It is understood that none of the Dynamics users rely on this information being displayed for emails sent via a workflow.
  • Emails sent manually are not impacted.
  • This MS Bug will be resolved in October.
